This is a picture of an unknown firemans helmet. Flags were donated to drap over firemans bodies as they were recovered from the WTC. Many were never found and this flag was unused. There was also a tribute wall with all the pictures of the fireman on it and there status as well as firehouse. It was very interesting to read all the stories about the items they recovered, but sad at the same time that something this terrible happened. We will always remember where we were when we heard the news.... saw it on TV and the days after when all the pieces fell into place. They will not be forgotten!
Of course, the day we pick to walk around ALL day, there was a wind advisory with below zero temps. We even stopped in an Old Navy store to look for long underwear or something to help keep us warm - Jason even bought a scarf!! That's how cold and windy it was! My face is wind burnt and dry....and I wrapped my scarf good, but there was no controlling it when the wind was blowing directly in our face most of the walk! But anyway...it was cold, but still a good time. After our walking tour....we had a nice dinner for our 2nd Anniversary! I can't believe it's been that long already. Our 1st Anniversary, we were in India...2nd..in NYC... wonder where we will be next year? ; )
