Sunday we had one last day to spend in Bangkok doing whatever our little hearts desired. So we went shopping, of course. We were going to attempt to go to a floating market (exactly what it sounds like) but it'd be another hour long taxi ride and no one was in the mood for that after traveling the last few days. Instead, we hit up the weekend market and it was massive!! Above is a picture of some of the parking for the market. They cram cars in and the owners leave their cars in neutral so others can move them. Have I told you how nice Thai people are? That would NEVER work in the states!
I failed to take many pictures at the market, but of course I got one of the on-the-go optical shop! All in one... get your eyes tested and fitted for glasses right there at the market - what an awesome idea. HA! Don't mind the animals that were for sale close by... W did see cats, dogs and rabbits for sale but I'm sure there were more around somewhere. You could buy pretty much anything in this market and they even hand out maps. We spent about 3 hours there just wandering and only covered part of it! Some people even buy a crate to send back home via ship. Next time I go (and there will be a next time) I plan on bringing an extra suitcase just for shopping.
ExTRA has officially ended for Kat and I. Caitlin and Danielle have one more stop on their journey before going back to their husbands.
