Up In The Air

When I said I would update everyday, I didn't say that it would be too interesting! Well, Tuesday we left San Francisco and made it back to Chicago. I believe that was the first flight to or from California that was uneventful! Let's recap - we've spent the night in LA's airport due to missing a flight on the way back from our honeymoon (thank goodness it was the way back and NOT on the way there. We weren't happy campers!) We were delayed leaving SF last time ...soo delayed we got flight vouchers for future use... and we were delayed going there because of plane changes this time as well. I'm sure more things happened, but it always seems like it's California that we have problems with! We got upgraded to First Class on the way back so the picture is of my wonderful chicken salad I had for lunch! : ) yummy

Anyway, we are back in Des Plaines for a few days at least. Out in SF, there was another crew working at a different refinery. They were waiting for one more crew member to be assigned. We joked they'd ask Jason to stay (that unit isn't even his technology). Well, he let his managers know we were on our way back and we get checked in to the hotel in Schaumburg, check email...and sure enough, he's been assigned back out to California. I wouldn't mind and I should complain.. but three assignments in California? Come on! I want to go somewhere NEW! haha. Why couldn't we have just stayed there instead of packing all of our stuff and going right back in a week? We all know the assignment could change, so I'm not holding my breath. I'll keep you posted!
