Jason and I go up early and tried to get in the background of the Today Show - but ended up on the side. No one around us had signs and we weren't too loud, so of course the filming crew wasn't interested in filming by us. :( I wanted to make a sign, but Jason wanted nothing to do with it. lol At least he came with me! It started snowing about an hour into the show so we didn't stay too long. The crew wasn't the usuals because it was NYE, but it was still fun. And.. if you watch the Today Show.. the reporter inside always says the outside reporters have been out there awhile and must be cold.. FALSE! They come out, shoot for about 1 min or so..then go right back in! They don't stay out at all. I don't blame them...but don't make it sound like they are out there fighting the cold like all of the other crazy people that are! haha
Later that morning, we went to Central Park and took a 4-5 mile walking tour. It was absolutely beautiful when we first got there since the snow was still falling and not many people were in the park yet. This is a picture of the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre imported from Sweden in 1876 which is still in use today.
