All Settled In

I know it's been a week, but I can finally say that we are completely unpacked and settled in our new hotel "home" for the next two months or so.  We had to move hotels for a night this past weekend so there was no point in unpacking right away.  I always take my time regardless.. I mean, I don't want to do everything the first day. Yesterday, I got the last suitcase unpacked and put in the closet - it's huge and can actually fit all 4 of our suitcases in it.  Usually we have one somewhere in the corner but it's nice not seeing any lying around.  It makes it feels like we don't live out of our suitcases.... kinda.   : /  The picture above is our room and the two doors that lead out to a balcony.  We can not only see the ocean but we have a view of the city and road as well.  It's pretty nice.   Now if only it was slightly warmer...

News from the homefront:    Happy Birthday to Jason's sister, Amy!  and...
a big CONGRATS to David and Sarah on their baby girl, Kylie Elizabeth!    : )   They read my blog so I have to give them a shout out! 

On other notes ...  I have another "roadbuddy" this week.  Ben, Shannon's boyfriend came down with her for the week before he goes to India.  He also travels for UOP.  We showed him where the laundry place is, how to get a SIM card for Shannons cell phone and where the mall and grocery store was.  He got a SIM card and wine.  Nice job, Ben Bob. 

This is on the walk back yesterday...

...... notice the dead rat on the sidewalk?  We're preparing him for what's to come in India.
