Jason was holding the camera level in the front seat! Crazy dunebashing!
It was scorching hot outside (40 degrees Celsius in the desert), but we had booked our Desert Night Safari for Saturday night so off we went. It started with dunebashing in 4wheel drive vehicles. Basically the SUVs just drove crazy in the sand. It was a lot of fun and at times felt like we were on a roller coaster! After about an hour, we headed to the "camp" to ride 4wheelers, relax and were treated to dinner. I roamed around the camp for a bit to take some photos of the activities they offered.

Sandboarding... I didn't try it; it looked pretty difficult!

Jason had a lot of fun - but said he preferred 4wheel riding in the snow better!

One of the workers made me pose like this...not Jason. haha
Did you
EVER think you would see this.......??? The Indian couple that took this picture was laughing at us a lot. Neither photo turned out good, but you get the point!

Henna! It lasted just over a week.
And the part that I was waiting for.... CAMELS! I was so excited to ride one and we ended up only going in a small circle. I was a bit disappointed because I really just wanted to ride one around all evening. Instead, I stalked them quietly and got some neat shots of them. If they didn't have the cover over their mouths, I'm sure one of them would have spit on me.

Probably my favorite pic from the trip!
We ended the evening with dinner (sitting on the ground of course) and a belly dancing and cultural dance show. It was really neat to watch, but since it was dark and they moved fast I was only able to get a video of it. Due to the crappy slow internet here, I'm not even going to attempt to upload one of them. We met some really nice people at the dinner too. It's amazing how many different cultures are living in UAE. If you ever get the change to go to Dubai, the Desert Night Safari is a must!
