Ocho Ocho

Since we moved over to the Le Meridien way back in December, we've met a few long term guests who have shown us the ropes of Cochin.  They knew where to go and what to do on the weekends.  Meet Ian (or  'Iannnnnn' as the Filipino girls call him).  These four lovely ladies are in a band that perform at this small, dark and dingy bar every single night of the week except for Mondays.  They are really sweet and we've gotten to know them recently.  Every time we go in, we have to request 'Ocho Ocho' which is a Filipino nursery rhyme which is anything but something I would let my future kids watch.  The song, not so bad..  the dance....  eh, a bit risque.  Anyway, they have attempted to get Ian up on the stage for weeks to dance.  The crowd is strictly prohibited from dancing and enforced by the scrawny bartenders who might not be able to hurt anyone if needed.  Somehow, they managed to get him on the stage tonight.  Quickly, I grabbed my camera of course.  "Photo of the day!" Shortly after, he was ushered down despite insisting on the fact that he was asked to be up there.  Now, how many of you thought you'd see THIS in India?
