Happy Birthday Joufer!

How can you not absolutely LOVE her?

You guys might be getting tired of reading about the school in my blog everyday, but seriously these kids are adorable.  I could bring just about every one home with me.  Okay, not all of them.  I'll leave the ones that spit and hit.  (joking!)  Today was Joufer's birthday so we celebrated with something that looked nothing like the "cake" they said it was.  It was really gooey and about everyone had their hands in it.  I'm not a huge germ freak, but I managed to avoid trying it only because it didn't look good at all.  Anyway, the kids got candy and cake so it was a good day!

And...this is how we were woken up in the morning.  It sounded like a war zone outside our hotel the last two nights and mornings.  And by morning I mean 4:30-5am.  The temple close by was having a festival and must have gone overboard.  I feel sorry for the elephants that are subjected to the noise.  I do not, however, feel sorry for any of the people standing in close proximity.  They will be deaf soon if they aren't already.  Our windows were shaking and after about the first couple fireworks, we couldn't even see them due to the amount of smoke they put off.

You won't get the full effect because you aren't standing in our doorway feeling the windows shake and waking up in the warzone, I mean firework show.  I really hope the show is over now.  It's past 10pm and we haven't heard any yet which means the festival is over or they are saving it all for 5am.

That girl is ADORABLE! Can you bring one home for me, please? Also, were they celebrating Eid or was it some Hindu festival? Or do you even care, lol?

If I could bring one home for you, I would! lol but...this little girl is ALL mine! :)

As far as the bombs... or fireworks, rather...when it wakes me up at 5am, I don't care.
