Happy Easter!! We can now add this to the list of "Holidays Spent in India" which includes all... except for Memorial Day and 4th of July. I'm sure we'll be adding Memorial Day soon. Today was pretty relaxing but we did have a nice brunch with John C, one of his friends and her little boy. It's always nice to do things as a group especially on holidays when you can't spend it with family.
Just outside on the patio of the hotel, they put a small fence up with 5 little bunnies and about 20 baby chicks. They've only been there since Friday but I make it a point to go visit at least once a day. Today I just had to take a photo holding one. Everyone with kids always takes their child's photos with a rabbit for Easter (and they are all adorable) but I wanted to put a little twist on it this year. Just because I'm 26 doesn't mean I can't take one of those photos too!
| The chicks mainly hide under the light for warmth...even though it's 90+ degrees out. |
| Usman and Jason - I just like how his collar is half popped! |
The morning started off very dreary and soon the rains started. For all of those in Evansville, you weren't the only ones getting Monsoon rain. Thankfully, it didn't last all day and cleared up enough for us to swim later on but the dark clouds lingered all day.
The hotel was offering a special brunch that included a glass of wine and a few games with awesome prizes. As soon as we came in, they ushered us to this bigger, round table. We hadn't even sat down for 5 minutes and they were giving away the first prize. It was a post-it note on one of the chairs next to Jason. They timed that right.... I wonder why they wanted us to sit there? So.. Jason is 'Easter Lucky' and won a bottle of red wine. Then, John's friend, Cristel won a polo shirt for answering the question "What does the Easter egg signify" right. New life, of course! Then they picked Jason and I to compete with two other couples for the next game. Jason had to tie a napkin around my wrist using only one hand. We won a coupon for two more Sunday Brunches. Shortly after that, John won two more lunch certificates by correctly guessing the number of mustard seeds in the dish. He answered exactly the right amount. I'd say we did pretty good for a Sunday afternoon!
We hope everyone had a blessed Easter!

I love love love the baby bunnies! Did you sneak one back to your room to make your pet? I think I would have! :)
