Kochi Tuskers

The Indian Premiere League for Cricket started their practices today and the Kochi Tuskers are staying here at the Le Meridien.  Some of the players on Indias teams as well as at least one from Sri Lanka (who they played in the final) are playing for Kochi.  The hotel has been really busy the last few days as the players and staff have arrived.  While I was hoping to catch a nap this afternoon, a party was going on outside.  The team was getting ready to leave for practice at the stadium and they were all in front of the Oman Hall to the side of the hotel.  All the traditional Keralan music was being played....  drums, horns and other instruments.  So much for my nap.... but it was neat to watch for a few minutes.  We are hoping to catch one of their games in the next few weeks and maybe even meet some of the team!  Afterall, I did put in countless hours making bags for the support staff!

Here are a few pictures from the balcony:

The team leaving - all on scooters or some type of motor bike.

(I know I'm behind on blogging....  just give me a day or two to catch up!  We've had a fun weekend!!)
