| I've never seen a bus that doesn't have dents and scratches. |
As you know from previous posts, driving here is anything but similar to driving anywhere else. The other day one of the ladies from school asked if I had an International Drivers License (I do, but it's expired) and asked I wanted to take the Raksha car anywhere. Um.. NO THANK YOU. Even if I did have a valid license to drive here, I would
never - let me repeat -
never try to drive. People are crazy drivers here, yet they are very defensive. For the way they drive, you would think you'd see more accidents on the roads. Most of them that I have seen, the cars are pretty banged up.

| Police Watchtower at Vytilla Junction - just down the highway from our hotel. |
Occasionally, there are police officers watching over major intersections. I'm not sure it does any good because this particular intersection is terrible. It's taken us over 30 minutes just to get up to the light before. Yes, even a few have stoplights!
