This Way.... No That Way....

I doubt this is someones home, but it could be. 

Typical directions in India.  This way, then that way.... no this way.. etc.  I went into the city today in search of the bookstore because once again, I've read all my books.  I knew exactly where this store was, but when I got there, it was a shoe store.  The guy working pointed me in the right (wrong) direction.  I walked and walked and walked and walked some more.  I kept asking how to find 'Press Club Road'.  I used to know right where it was but since we aren't staying in the city anymore, I've lost my sense of direction there.  I kept getting sent a block or two too far.  Eventually I found it, but I managed to get in my exercise for the day and take some photos along the way...

 

I didn't know there was a YMCA Junction in Cochin.  Areas are labeled by Junctions in this city...and throughout India.  At this point, I was trying to walk fast and finish up my errands before it started to rain.  

 

In order to get my vitamins from the pharmacy, I had to walk across this not so sturdy makeshift walkway which was just a concrete slab that wasn't even and moved when I stepped on it.  I was being extra careful - I don't need another broken foot!
